REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteReducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 10:24 PMIt's much better than having to keep a bunch of paper receipt and forgetting about it. Then stumbling upon it weeks later having no clue what it is. Then throwing it away. Paper mail allows me to store receipts electronically and to find it more easily when needed. It decreases clutter, is better for the environment, and less hassle overall -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 10:22 PMExercise can be a way to spend quality time with them. For example a hike or a walk. Even a dance session. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 10:19 PMI need a lot of sleep. Im noticing 9 hours is optimum but my commitments don't allow it-

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 10:03 PMLess meat is good to prevent hypertension which runs in my family. Cattle farming is responsible for a large amount of greenhouse gases such as methane. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 9:59 PMNo, especially living as a single person, fruits and veggies can easily go uneaten and go bad. The money wasted could go to frozen fruits that would not go bad which is what I do.-
Emily Nies 10/18/2023 5:35 AMThis does not surprise me in the slightest. My family tries our hardest to consume all of the food we buy and get through our leftovers before cooking another meal. We are guilty of fast food dinners, but we never waste our food. If not consumed, we either feed our dog (if it’s safe), my rats, or compost biodegradable food.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 9:56 PMVisibly see the person more engaged in the conversation as I ask questions to understand their points rather than passively stating my opinions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Angela Beeponee 10/17/2023 9:51 PMIt makes me focus more on the positives which helps me to keep going
