REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityHow might practicing work-life balance lead to a more sustainable life for yourself? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Ava DeFelice (Salem) 10/22/2023 6:10 PMPracticing work life balance is important especially being in college and trying to support yourself mostly on your own. By practicing work life balance it will decrease the amount of stress on my mental health and body which may help me with my procrastination. By practicing this it will hopefully lead to a stress free happy life. -
Ava DeFelice (Salem) 10/16/2023 7:19 AMMy eco challenge is going well. It makes me stop and really think about the stuff I am learning and gets me motivated to get involved.-
Emily Nies 10/16/2023 10:11 AMMe too. It’s encouraged me to feed my rats a different diet, influence my family to make energy-efficient decisions, and save money on gas!

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Ava DeFelice (Salem) 10/16/2023 7:18 AMTo really see the greatness in simplicity that often goes unnoticed because we see or do it everyday, there needs to be creativity. See a nice woods area? Go take a walk. Do things you don’t usually do that you do or see everyday. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Ava DeFelice (Salem) 10/16/2023 7:16 AMI decided to pick up a book that I have been wanting to read so I finally picked it up and began reading. I also studied a bit more by not looking at tv or my phone. Of course there were times where I wanted to pick up my phone but I didn’t find the need to do so. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Ava DeFelice (Salem) 10/16/2023 7:13 AMPracticing gratitude keeps me centered and motivated by focusing on what matters around me and appreciating what I have to keep me centered. Simply taking a step back and realizing what I have to be grateful for and what really matters.
