    In La Crosse, it seems like everything is 3 miles away or less. I try to walk everywhere I go unless I need to carry something like groceries.

    In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for using every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable (including the skins, tops, stalks, etc.) during your next meal prep?

    A lot of times the skin of the vegetable is where the best nutrients are. One of my favorite meals is mashed potato’s and I always leave the skin on.

    Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Meat tends to be expensive and that is why richer countries eat more of it. Eating more meat can speed up global warming by deforestation. A example would be deforesting for more cattle ranches.
