Daylyn Reese 12/01/2023 11:27 AMOne of my favorite things to do when I feel stuck on homework is to go out and take a walk. I find that it's very beneficial in getting my creativity working again and I frequently come back refreshed.

Atlas's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 2 meatless meal(s) and/or 1 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Transportation
Stay on the Ground
Instead of traveling by plane, I will find an alternative way to accomplish the goals of an upcoming trip (i.e. telepresence, vacation locally).
Nature
Explore My Area
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Nature
Do Nature Activities
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 60 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)

REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureHow might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?
Atlas Means 11/30/2023 7:18 PMI was in seattle and explored a lot of what the forests had to offer and it made me feel much more in touch and in tune with nature -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?
Atlas Means 11/30/2023 7:16 PMI took the train home for thanksgiving rather than taking a plane. While being more cost effective, it was also extremely beautiful, and I was able to see parts of the coast I wouldnt have been able too -
