Kali's actions
Energy
Switch to Cold Water
I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 133 lbs of CO2 a month and 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.
Energy
Power Down the Computer
I will power down my computer and monitor when not using it for more than 2 hours, saving up to (1.1) lbs of CO2 each day that I do this.
Nature
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 5 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.
Nature
Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
I will enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset each day.
Food
Whole Food Lifestyle
I will enjoy 1 meal(s) each day free of processed foods.
Food
Zero-Waste Cooking
I will cook 2 meal(s) with zero-waste each day
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Energy
Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Waste
Use Reusable Bags
If at all possible, I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases.

Kali Prihoda 4/03/2024 1:05 PMI chose actions that would challenge me everyday such as turning the lights off when I am not using them, using reusable bags and not using plastic straws. This has been challenging so far because it is hard to always remember to turn the lights off when I am not using them for anything. I also had to purchase my own reusable bags.
