REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityWhat are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/22/2023 7:44 PMMy core values are communication, curiosity, and kindness. I narrowed it down based on what I would like to show and be treated. Curiosity comes into play because I like to learn things in general and gain more skills as I continue to experience life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/21/2023 8:19 PMWhenever I have something big coming up, like a test, I usually take a walk because it helps calm me and take my mind off of the stresses. Generally, I have found myself to be more academically successful when I take walks.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicitySocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also create echo chambers and take more time than we realize or intend to give. After completing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/21/2023 8:17 PMI feel fine, not much has changed since limiting social media because I mainly use it as entertainment like with YouTube. So, spending time elsewhere is how I have managed and sometimes I can find myself more productive, but not much has changed otherwise. -
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/16/2023 6:54 PMIt's going pretty well so far because this website is like a checklist of things that I would like to do and doing them will help with my overall happiness and health. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/16/2023 6:53 PMI can play football with my friends or go to the gym with them, getting exercise while spending time with them. Also, walking to places around the college and not driving to accomplish this goal as well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthWhat's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/16/2023 6:51 PMI like to get active and play some sports with my brother, particularly football and walking is a part of that joyful movement. Lastly, exercising or stretching to music finish the main things I like to do. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Chance Ritchey (cho 101) 10/08/2023 9:46 PMCreativity is needed because deciding what to reduce can be tricky and requires one to be efficient. One such thing can be getting an appropriate amount of food if I consume a lot of snacks. So, lowering that and increasing portions during lunch is better for simplicity.
