    Look to see what I already have and don't need, I can also get rid of certain items if I want to get more so I don't accumulate more than what I need.

    I think by practicing gratitude you will learn to be thankful for certain things that you didn't think you would be before, and make "bad things" into good ones. Also, you may be able to spread the gratitude you are practicing to others around you.
